Spring
Art classes
(April to June 2008)
Evening classes every Monday from 7pm to 9pm, and afternoon
classes run on Tuesday from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
The
spring course starts on 7th April 2008 and runs for 12 weeks
until 24th June 2008. The fee is £70.
These
classes are now full, but more are planned to start the autumn
season in September 2008.
Both
absolute beginners and experienced welcome. The course
is very informal, mixing fun and social enjoyment with art
education. Tutoring can cover watercolour techniques, oil
painting, acrylic painting, and pastels, in all subjects.
The classes are held in John's studio in Dundee.
All students will have one of their paintings published on
the internet, (if they wish) on special exhibition pages on
John's website. See the Art Class Exhibition links here ................>
Private
Art Lessons
One
to one tuition can be arranged to suit those who desire a
more intensive approach to improving their artistic abilities.
This can range from the young student preparing a portfolio
for submission for entry to an art college, the final year
student ready to embrace the real art world with a new career,
but needs to know about running a business, art and the internet,
and the commercial side of selling art and art products, then
there is the mature person wishing to learn and improve their
artistic knowledge and skills so they can confidently paint
to achieve a high standard of painting in the medium of their
choice.
A range of lessons can be structured to individual needs,
but normally John will run sessions of two hours with a fee
of £30 per hour. John is quite flexible on time of day
or evening.
It is also quite feasable to run tuition by email on the internet
for those distant students too far away to travel to Dundee.
Art
Holiday Workshops 2008
John
runs art holiday workshops from his large studio in
Dundee which has panoramic views across the River Tay and
sits in a well stock mature garden full of flowers, trees
and shrubs, fruit, exotics, a greenhouse and two sunny patios.
Students also enjoy excellent home cooking.
Workshops start daily at 10am and finish at 4.30pm.
Dundee is the sunniest city in Scotland with a very low rainfall
