John Stoa taken from a summer landscape painting, of heather covered Scottish glens.

This highland scene was captured by John as pastel painting, partly painted on site but completed
in his studio when a heavy thunderstorm put paid to any ideas of painting outdoors. The long and winding road twists along the edge of Loch Voil opening up into numerous panoramas and vistas
with beautiful scenery so typical of Scottish glens.

This fine art print shows the approach of a thunderstorm, as the sky darkens in the Trossachs at Balquhidder at the end of Loch Voil, the heart of Rob Roy MacGregor country.
