Evergreen shrubs, particularly the pink Japanese Azalea looks well alongside the white stemmed silver birch tree, seen here at the end of May. There is a natural flow of heather garden plants changing from heathers to Azaleas, dwarf Rhododendrons then as the ground becomes drier the range evolves to Lavender and garden pinks. There is also a lot of bulbs underplanted including crocus, grape hyacinths, Chionodoxa and scented lilies. |
