Garden Trees

A selection of trees suited to the small garden include birch, rowan, Eucalyptus, cherry, Robinia, and numerous conifers. John will show those that he grows as they become established and interesting. New small garden trees that are now beginning to grow are now here including Eucryphia, Amelanchier, Pinus strobus nana, Cordyline australis and the date palm, Phoenix canariensis.

Garden trees help to frame our south facing panoramic views over the River Tay seen on this page to River Tay views. These views can be seen from the double ensuite room which is perfectly placed for a romantic weekend break with bed and breakfast.

John has always had a fascination for the beauty of mature specimen trees and wherever possible includes these in his paintings even when doing his Scottish towns pictures as seen on his page of limited edition prints of Scottish towns.

Trees and Art

Painting trees is a major element in the creation of a landscape painting.
