Loch
Rannoch and Schiehallion is a watercolour painting by Harry King completed
at John Stoa's Tuesday evening art class in his Dundee studio in Ninewells.
Harry had an interest in this image through its association with the "Maskelyne
Experiment" carried out in the 18th century involving astronomy,
and other science surveys to shed light on the density of the earth.
A bothy and observation tower were constructed on the peak of Schiehallion,
parts of which are still in evidence today.
