rose, a red rose, was used with the model in a blue
dress for this oil painting, "Red Roses for a Blue
lady".
This very romantic painting was inspired
during the long hot summer when Anna was enjoying the
summer roses, and the tall Alexander rose bush in the
garden was at its best against the summer blue sky.
This
romantic summer scene, in which the model and the
red roses beautifully compliment each other just
had to be painted.
