This winter scene of a mother and child enjoying a walk in the picturesque village of Tannadice
near Dundee, was inspired one wintry morning after the snow blizzard had passed and the sun appeared.

It is a very colourful oil painting using bold strong colours, dark shadows and sunlit passages, and is a new
addition to John's gallery of snow scenes depicting the tranquility and quaintness found in Scottish
towns and villages.
