The Lady in a Black Hat watercolour painting was John's centre of attraction at his summer studio exhibition, which showed a range of his figurative art as well as colourful Scottish landscapes. This image was created as part of a study of "black hat" paintings.
This image was also used in the book called "100 Ways to Paint People and Figures", published by the International Artist.
